\nThe Git beginners training will give you practical experience in using Git.
\nWhen participating, you will:
\n– Learn the difference between central version control and distributed version control
\n– Understand the design behind Git
\n– Learn the most commonly used commands in Git
\n– Be aware of all the possibilities that Git offers for more advanced scenarios
\n– Use that knowledge to cooperate with others in a project hosted in Git
\n– Learn best practices for Git and version control in general
\nThe days of working alone on software projects (hobby projects excluded) are over. Nowadays as a software engineer you are
\nexpected to work in a team with several other professionals. Tools have always existed to enable us to work together on the same piece of code.
\nGit is currently the standard tool for distributed version control systems. If you are using an open source project, chances are high that it
\nis hosted in a Git repository.
\nHowever, Git can be difficult to use due to its extensive syntax and new concepts. I’ve been using Git professionally since 2009 and have
\npersonally encounterd a lot of pitfalls that you can step into.
